Magid's CutMaster SP1036G Medium Weight work gloves are manufactured from a yarn blended with composite fiberglass and Spectra, one of the highest performance fibers on the market. A durable and lightweight polyethylene fiber produced using a patented gel-spinning process, Spectra is the cutting edge in cut-resistance, and is up to 40% stronger than other aramid fibers. These medium weight gloves offer ANSI Cut Level A7 cut protection and are reversible for longer wear. The CutMaster SP1036G glove is grey colored, meaning dirt and grime are less visible, extending their use. Spectra is inherently low-linting, making this an ideal glove for work in industries where product contamination is a concern.

  •  Spectra® and and fiberglass blended shell provides 40% greater cut protection than aramid fibers of similar weight
  • Low lint construction minimizes product contamination
  • Dark coloration hides dirt and extends service life
  • Reversible design allows for longer wear
  • Color-coded elasticized overedge reduces fraying and provides a visual aid for sizing
  • Gloves can be laundered to increase wear time
  • ANSI Level A7 Cut Resistance

Cut Level Guide

What do the different levels mean?
ANSI Cut Levels used to range from Level 1 (200 gram load) to Level 5 (3,500 gram load) and you may still see these levels referred to in older literature. Today, the levels have been expanded and refined to range from Cut Level A1 (for light cut hazards - 200 gram load) to Cut Level A9 (for high cut hazards - 6,000 gram load)

Which cut level do I need?

Use the chart below to determine the cut level you need in gloves, sleeves, or clothing:

How do you determine cut levels?

We use a specialized testing machine called a Tomodynamometer (TDM-100) to measure cut levels. The machine applies a straight-edged blade under a specific “load.” The load is the amount of pressure being applied with the blade. We gather data from multiple tests under various loads to determine the force required to cut through the sample. That measure gives us the material’s Cut Level.
