Description

Magid CutMaster XKS 500 Palm Coated Work Gloves take cut resistance, durability and dexterity to the next level with the addition of a NitriX Grip Technology palm coating. A unique and proprietary black, sandy nitrile palm coating, NitriX Grip Technology channels away oils, solvents and water enabling a superior grip even in the most challenging environments. At the core of the CutMaster XKS 500 is a 100% XKS Yarn shell. Manufactured from a unique combination of stainless steel wire, para-aramid and high performance fibers, XKS Yarn delivers a glove with ANSI Cut Level A5 protection – as much as two-and-a-half times greater cut protection than gloves made from a 100% para-aramid or HPPE yarn of a similar weight. Able to withstand the most grueling applications and work conditions, CutMaster XKS Gloves offer superior protection at an exceptional value over lower-performing alternatives. Benefiting from the inherent strength and dark coloration of XKS Yarn, CutMaster XKS 500 Work Gloves effectively hide dirt and grime reducing the rate of disposal or laundering required. The gloves’ superb durability in the field and in the wash extends wear up to two to three times longer than gloves made from other cut resistant materials. The CutMaster XKS 500 Glove is well suited for use in metal stamping, assembly or applications requiring the handling of small, oily parts.

  • 100% XKS® machine knit shell make from XKS Yarn - a unique blend of para-aramid, stainless steel and synthetic fibers that delivers cutting edge protection
  • NtiriX® Grip Technology proprietary sandy nitrile palm coating offers superior grip channeling away oils, solvents and water
  • ANSI Cut Level A5, ANSI Abrasion Level 4 and ANSI Puncture Level 4 protection
  • Dark coloration hides dirt and grime

Cut Level Guide

What do the different levels mean?
ANSI Cut Levels used to range from Level 1 (200 gram load) to Level 5 (3,500 gram load) and you may still see these levels referred to in older literature. Today, the levels have been expanded and refined to range from Cut Level A1 (for light cut hazards - 200 gram load) to Cut Level A9 (for high cut hazards - 6,000 gram load).

Which cut level do I need?

Use the chart below to determine the cut level you need in gloves, sleeves, or clothing:

How do you determine cut levels?

We use a specialized testing machine called a Tomodynamometer (TDM-100) to measure cut levels. The machine applies a straight-edged blade under a specific “load.” The load is the amount of pressure being applied with the blade. We gather data from multiple tests under various loads to determine the force required to cut through the sample. That measure gives us the material’s Cut Level.
