Description

Put some extra muscle into your job with the Magid D-ROC GPD730 Double-Dipped HPPE Machine Knit Work Gloves. These double-dipped gloves feature a full nitrile undercoat that withstands liquids, oils, solvents. The three-quarter proprietary NitriX Grip Technology sandy ntirile overcoat takes protection and performance even further by providing additional abrasion resistance and unflinching grip whether used in wet or dry applications. The D-ROC GPD730 Gloves feature a salt-and-pepper, 13-gauge, HPPE fiber blended seamless machine knit shell that is strong and comfortable. Together, the coatings and the shell deliver gloves with ANSI Level 2 Cut Resistance and ANSI Level 6 Abrasion Resistance. The D-ROC GPD730 Gloves can be laundered for repeated use, and their dark color hides dirt and grime to further extend glove life. Ideal applications include assembly, machining, automotive manufacturing, metal handling and maintenance.

What do the different levels mean?
ANSI Cut Levels used to range from Level 1 (200 gram load) to Level 5 (3,500 gram load) and you may still see these levels referred to in older literature. Today, the levels have been expanded and refined to range from Cut Level A1 (for light cut hazards - 200 gram load) to Cut Level A9 (for high cut hazards - 6,000 gram load).

How do you determine cut levels?

We use a specialized testing machine called a Tomodynamometer (TDM-100) to measure cut levels. The machine applies a straight-edged blade under a specific “load.” The load is the amount of pressure being applied with the blade. We gather data from multiple tests under various loads to determine the force required to cut through the sample. That measure gives us the material’s Cut Level.
