OSHA fines are rising for the first time since 1990!

On August 1, 2016, the maximum penalties for serious OSHA violations rose from $7,000 to $12,471 – a whopping 78% increase. And from now on, OSHA will adjust its penalties for inflation each year based on the Consumer Price Index.

Why the big jump? Inflation.

According to the Occupational Safety & Health Administration, your company is subject to these new penalties for any violations occurring after November 2, 2015.
