TOE, FOOT AND LEG GUARDS - Use and maintenance

Over the shoe, toe and foot guards may be used wherever safety shoes may be required.

Toe and foot guards provide protection for special jobs and can be removed or put on as needed.

Toe and foot guards can be kept with the equipment that may cause foot injuries and used by any employee using that equipment.

Leg guards protect the front of the legs from impact and cut hazards.

Leg guards may be put on and removed as needed.

Straps and padding should be inspected on a regular basis, and replaced as needed.

Guards should be discarded after receiving a severe impact or cut.

Plastic foot and shin guards should not be painted. paint can cover up defects and cracks.

Guards should be replaced after about two years of use.
