The Magid® Extra-Heavyweight Kevlar®/PBI Blend High Heat Gloves (KB1314WL) are 14" gauntlet-style gloves engineered for extreme heat environments. Built from a 22 oz. blend of Kevlar® and polybenzimidazole (PBI) with a 22 oz. fiberglass cuff and full wool lining, these gloves deliver robust heat and abrasion protection sized for men's use in welding and high-heat metalwork.
The PBI component resists ignition and will not melt or emit toxic fumes under intense heat exposure, while the Kevlar blend provides the structural durability and abrasion resistance required in demanding industrial applications. Materials used on this product are rated to withstand temperatures up to 600°F.
- 22 oz. Kevlar®/PBI blend shell covers the palm, thumb, and back of hand for enhanced durability and abrasion resistance in high-heat environments
- PBI synthetic fiber features a very high melting point and does not readily ignite, melt, or emit toxic fumes when exposed to extreme heat
- 22 oz. fiberglass gauntlet cuff extends coverage 14" past the wrist, protecting the wrist and lower arm from heat and abrasion hazards
- Full wool lining (11 oz.) provides insulation and an additional layer of heat protection for increased wearer comfort
- Clute cut pattern with straight thumb minimizes palm seams for improved grip and delivers maximum dexterity and comfort during use
- Rated to 600°F - materials used on this product can withstand temperatures up to 600°F for reliable performance in extreme conditions
- Chemical resistance - resistant to most chemicals and solvents for added hand protection beyond heat hazards alone
- Ideal for welding and high-heat metalwork applications where both ignition resistance and extended wrist coverage are critical
