The Magid® KB1323WL Extra-Heavyweight Norbest® and Goldenbest® High Heat Gloves are constructed from a 22 oz. basket weave blend of Kevlar® and polybenzimidazole (PBI) - a material originally developed for NASA's Apollo program. Featuring a clute cut pattern, straight thumb, and heavy wool lining, these gloves deliver serious thermal protection for workers in demanding high-heat industrial environments.
PBI does not burn in air, melt, or emit toxic fumes, and offers excellent resistance to chemicals and solvents. Rated for working temperatures of 400-600°F with capacity for higher intermittent exposure, and constructed from materials capable of withstanding up to 1,000°F, the KB1323WL is built for the most extreme heat exposures on the job.
