The 3M Protecta 1385000 18" D-ring Extension provides a 1.5 ft. length of strap that connects to the D-ring on the back of a safety harness making it easier for workers with limited range of motion in their shoulders to reach the connection point on the back of the harness. The extension decreases the amount of time it takes for workers to attach shock-absorbing lanyards and self-retracting lifelines to the back D-ring of their safety harness. When calculating fall distance for the worker's fall-arrest system, the extra length of the D-ring extender must be accounted for.
