Step Up Your Cooling Gear to Keep Workers Safer!

Magid Cool Powered by Mission’s HydroActive® cooling technology is unique in that it uses the natural power of evaporation to achieve better and more lasting cooling than garments that employ slimy-feeling chemical coatings. The special weave of these materials works by adding any temperature of water (even extremely hot water), so workers in remote locations can save their cool water for personal hydration and use less palatable water to activate their cooling PPE.

The worker simply wets the fabric, wrings out any excess water, and then waves or snaps the garment in the air. The fabric cools to as low as 30 degrees below average body temperature in under a minute and best of all, it stays cool for up to two full hours! Workers can also reactivate these fabrics an unlimited number of times through the day for an anytime solution that keeps them cool and comfortable as they work and gets them through to their next break in the shade.

Choices in Cooling PPE

A cooling towel around the neck offers incredible relief from the heat, but it may or may not be appropriate for your application. Anyone working with machinery that may catch a loose garment will need a different choice. In these cases, you’ll want to look for cooling fabrics that are available in additional forms like skull caps worn under hard hats, neck gaiters, and even short-fitting bandanas.
