I require workers to turn old equipment in to their supervisors in order to get something new. Since each supervisor is in charge of their department’s stock of PPE, workers have to prove that their gloves are worn out or explain why a glove isn’t working for them. We can find out why someone went through a glove too quickly or why they’re changing the type of facemask they wear. Workers know their voice is heard and that their opinions matter to the company. If they have a problem with certain PPE or notice safety issues on the shop floor, they have a platform to express their concerns.
