Combine Features to Make an All-Purpose Glove
In our foundry, we perform several different processes that used to require combinations of two different mitts and two different mitt covers for each glove size we needed. Keeping PPE in stock was a big expense and a major hassle. To make matters worse, workers were never entirely happy with their glove choices. I solved both problems by working with my PPE manufacturer to develop a mitt that incorporated all the necessary features of the four items they had been using. Moving from four SKU’s to one saved our company 40% on their annual spend and gave workers a simple solution.
